I knew my great-grandmother Alice Ann Walby Hatton born in 1860 and registered at Ross-On-Wye shown below. Her family lived at Weston-Under-Penyard when she met my great-grandfather Charles Hatton born 1854 Lea Bailey, Forest of Dean, and baptised at Hope Mansell, Herefordshire, England. It was with her that my interest in my family genealogy began. I remember her English accent and the conversations even though I was very young. I was the only one with her when she died. The family was downstairs and I was talking to her in her bedroom about her years as a young woman in England.
