Possible links with the Hadden family. Hugh Hadden born 1818 in South Carolina married Lucy Sapp. Lucy was the daughter of Henry Sapp. Henry was brought to America by Lord Calvert [Lord Baltimore]. Sir Thomas Hatton and other branches of the Hatton family had arrived starting pre-1600s.
Sir Thomas Hatton, Henry Sapp, and others were all associated with Lord Calvert. Sir Thomas Hatton was Secretary of the Province and an acting govenor. Branches of the Hattons and Sapps appear in Florida, apparently about the mid 1800s.
Two places named Hatton pre-1882-87. Later more HATTON-SAPP marriages take place.
